The Joy of Singing and Being Together
in Week 1
The aim of this course is to find answers to different questions which can come up during rehearsals with amateur choirs and choral singers. During this seminar we will try out a variety of exercises for teaching our singers a choral piece during our weekly sessions not using our daily technical devices. We’ll see how we can integrate Kodály’s method into our rehearsals.
We will also be talking about forming a group, group dynamics, what kind of problems can come up and how can we, as conductors help to find solutions.
We will try to find and define the qualities of a great choral conductor for amateur groups.
