Workshop by László Norbert NEMES

From the rehearsal
to the concert performance
in Week 2

The result of decades of invaluable experiences working with choirs is the recognition that the effectiveness of a choral director’s work is based on the vocal, the pedagogical and methodological work performed in the rehearsal room. The focus of this workshop is on three important aspects of choir education, which are usually not emphasised enough in the training of young choral conductors. These focus areas are the following: selection of suitable works for young voices, methodological issues of teaching of the repertory and the development of the choral sound. The workshop is primarily recommended for conductors and music teachers working with children’s choirs.
